The Indigenous Society for Frugal Science Invention (ISFSI) is an upcoming national association comprising eminent academicians, scientists, scholars, students, doctors, industrialists, and professionals from across India, united by a shared commitment to the promotion of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), founded and registered in 2025. The ISFSI operates as a non-profit organization, headquartered at the Centre for Applied Sciences, Government Degree College for Men, Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh – 532001, India and is driven by the vision of "Science Reach to Unreach." ISFSI is dedicated to advancing scientific innovation and promotes the development of low-cost, frugal scientific tools to benefit rural and underprivileged communities. The Society aims to bridge the gap between advanced scientific research and grassroots implementation by fostering collaboration among diverse STEM professionals.The Society not only provides educational and science promotion services but also serves as a vital link for exchanging scientific information nationwide. Through its initiatives, ISFSI plays a pivotal role in making science inclusive, impactful, and accessible.
Key initiatives and objectives of ISFSI include:
• STEM Promotion: Through workshops, conferences, training programs, and publications in emerging scientific disciplines.
• Science for All: Making scientific knowledge and tools accessible to marginalized and remote populations.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Serving as a platform to connect theoretical and applied science across various specialized fields.
• Community Building: Cultivating a friendly, collaborative environment through multiple membership options, including:
o Honorary Membership (Present to 02 eminent personalities every year with 01 local and 01 non-local)
o Life Membership (Rs. 550/- for the year 2025-26)
o Associate Membership (Rs. 210/- for the year 2025-26)
o Annual Membership (Rs. 100/- for the year 2025-26) – for UG & PG Students
* Annual/Associate Members may become life member after one year being served and they will get 15% of fee discount.
* A life member after completion of 10 years will become Executive Council Memberafter evaluation and recommendations of the society members
